It all started with Gianna and Bella fighting over a Peppa Pig book on the sofa.
Later we all had some delicious sweet potato pancakes which I thought were pumpkin pancakes. Of course my wife only disclosed the devious secret that they were not pumpkin pancakes, but rather sweet potato pancakes. Of course I acted like I was horrified to tease her, but they were very delicious.
Later Bella decorated a present wrapper for a boy in her daycare.
After this Bella and Gianna were fighting over a box that had come for my wife. There was nothing exciting in it for the girls, but of course there was no telling them that there was nothing in there to gett excited about. They just knew it was awesome and they were not about to share whatever it was. I had to eventually hide the box as the youngest, Gianna bit the oldest, Bella for the box. Woahhh! There seems to be no shortage of arguing now that the youngest has learned how to walk and conquer. 🙂
Then my wife was in the process of putting the youngest to sleep for a nap as Gianna was very cranky and tired. At this point Bella and I went outside as she began to attempt to play her kids flute. I thought it was beautiful and cute even though she did not know anything beyond the one note on it. My wife however promptly told us it was too loud even outside as the sound carried inside and could wake up the youngest who was now sleeping. When you have a sleeping 1 year old it seems that you protect her sleep as if it were a nuclear bomb ready to go off at any second if she awakes. 🙂
The rest of the day was spending time at a boy’s birthday party. That was fun and nothing out of the ordinary occurred except our two daughters were not arguing over toys and boxes. It was amazing. It was even peaceful I would say, although there was a bit of chasing down the little one, Gianna, as I tend to be a bit of an overprotective dad. I’m always concerned my daughters or wife is in danger of getting hurt. It was a fantastic day.
